How many of you wish you had hired Mike Leach instead? He already has a better win than anything Jeremy Pruitt has produced.

It would have been fun but not sustainable. I am happy with the direction under Pruitt. I think most of us would say the same. Next

Can we get past one game before making a decision?

in 3 years they'll both be gone and not worth mentioning.

Going to be funny to watch LSU fans lobbying to throw the bank at Leach after O gets fired

They seem to be perfectly content with barely beating South Carolina, so it appears all the losing has sorta dulled their expectations I think.

Good luck in fighting for that 3rd place spot in the East year after year!

I would definitely have been down for a pirate backed by the Vol Navy but so far I’m not disappointed with Pruitt. Not sure how Leach will ultimately fair but he is occasionally amusing so he has that much going for him.

Leach's time at KY might have something to do with Tennessee attitudes.

Heck, when the hire was made, Tennessee was still recovering from the 'different kind of coach' coaches that were Lane Kiffin and Derrick Dooley.

This thread has already been done and the general consensus was the exact opposite of your thread title, low iq, redneck internet user jodeaux.

I think Leach could’ve been successful at UT, but I’m not sure how well he’d recruit there. Imo the floor would be higher with Leach, but the ceiling is higher with Pruitt IF he can find the right OC.

That's the point though, Leach is one of the few coaches that can actually win with lesser talent.

It doesn't matter how he recruits, the system wins. Washington St will never be ranked in football ever again. It has no business even having a football team and Leach had them in the top 15?

He knows the SEC landscape, doesn't need top recruits to win and Starkville fits with him. He's going to be a constant thorn in the side of the SEC West.

The question is if he’d consistently be able to win against UF, UGA, and bama while at UT. I’m not sure he’d be able to do that with average recruiting classes. I think his teams will always have upset potential, but the issue is consistency. It’s possible he could’ve gone there and could’ve recruited off UT’s brand alone, but we’ve never seen Leach at a big school so it’s an unknown. I think Leach is a great coach and is a perfect fit for schools trying to win with lesser talent. UT isn’t a school that has to do that though.

No one knows how his recruiting classes at UT would have turned out, as he’s never been a HC at a school with a rich recruiting history.

I know. That’s why I said this
