There's really only one fanbase in sec right now who can talk shiiat. Outside of Bama I don't see any teams fanbase that should be overly confident that they will steamroll everyone else in the west. I could see Lsu winning or losing to state arky auburn.. Bama I just hope we keep it close and have a shot late. A&m I'm not sure on. Ole miss is a gimmie.

LSU is a powerhouse because we produce as many nfl players as anybody. Even the players that don't make it to the league are damn good. We have talent to match u with any team in the nation and win. It's been that way for a while and it will contin to be a long as we have talent like we do...which ain't gonna change bc of our recruiting base. LSU is definitely a powerhouse football program, as much as our previous coaching staff tried to ruin it.

What in God's name are you even talking about? You wouldn't have been 2-23 against lsu if yalls mindset was different going into the game? Holy shite man, you're 2-23, it doesn't matter what your mindset was before the game. I guarantee you that state gets as pumped to play LSU as anybody on their schedule, it's one of their biggest games. LSU expects to beat schedule tate and that can also play into a disadvantage for LSU bc alot of the games we played we just messed around until the 4th quarter and made the Playa we had to make to win. If LSU was in the mindset of playing bama against miss st, yall would have gotten blown out alot more than you did. Mindset is no excuse man. You're 2-23. Mullen has only beaten LSU 1 time in his career at state. That was with states best team ever and one of LSUs worst in the past 20 years.

LSU can definitely lose to State.

In fact, it's one of the three losses I have projected for the Tigers (along with Florida and Alabama).

Everyone is just penciling in LSU to start 5-0. I think State can sneak up on LSU. They have a quarterback who is tough to defend, and it will be LSU's first true road game of the season. And we have quite a few inexperienced players.

I'm not sure what games that happened almost 20 years ago mean to this year's but okay.

Is it likely? No, but the have a guy who makes big places taking snaps. Mullen is a decent coach and I'd take him before O so they probably have a edge their. Now it's just a matter of overcoming the tangent difference.

If you have to ask that, then you've probably never played the game.

Not in the past 25 years it hasn't. Not for MSU. Football is a sport of emotions and we haven't shown much for this game until more recently.

I apologize. But, I do want to personally congratulate you on finishing second to last in the West in back to back years. Huge accomplishment for your program!

They're from Bumfrick, Mississippi out in the boonies, of course they "really think" they can beat LSU. Hell, they probably think they can beat the New England Patriots too.

I mean Appalachian state beat Michigan a few years ago and state did the same to us. So don't underestimate the opponent, I guess

Theyre as probably as talented as Wisconsin. They have a good head coach. I mean its not unimaginable.

Of course they have a shot, but they're not as talented as Wisconsin was. Wisconsin finished ranked #9 and only lost 3 games (all to top 10 teams) by no more than 7 points. State went 6-7 and finished 6th in the west.

You guys are retarded if you think Coach O is going to be like he was at Ole Miss. The talent level is night and day from when he was at Ole Piss. LSU has great high school football and the only big school in the state. Ole Piss never even been to Atlanta.

Well, I can't argue with any of that.

What a terrible thread. Bama fans could make this thread to several sets of fans here and be right a large majority of the time but it takes a real jerk to look down on other programs like that. It's the SEC bro, none of us are invincible.

It's going to be a good game. LSU has talent and a new coach. State has a solid running QB and a good, deep front seven on defense. The game is in Starkville at night and is the first SEC matchup for both teams.

I don't expect either team to dominate and for the game to come down to the wire.

Anyone who says otherwise is just spouting homerisms.

Looking forward to a good game, probably one of the better SEC games this season.
