I said before the season he was not good and was bashed incessantly by Tigah fans telling me he is a Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan love child. Just because you're the LSU Friday guy doesn't automatically make you worth a shite.

Just checking in, have yall caught on yet? Or will it take spanking the second coming of Cy Young's arse in Baum to bring the point home?

He’s a very good pitcher but not a Friday night starter. He’ll make his bucks in the majors by being a closer

I think most of us knew last year even that he shouldn't be a starter. Great reliever. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

He’s not a weekend starter, needs to be back in the bullpen and closer,he had last year to prove he’s a starter and it didn’t happen, CPM has a hard head

Lol no one ever said he was a roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan love child. Most Tiger fans know and have been knowing he is better as the save guy. So take that weak arse shite out of here

hess has had plenty of plus plus games. he's also had clunkers. that's the problem - he's too inconsistent as a starter. as a closer, he was borderline great.

i thought for sure this year he would be moved back because there is absolutely no need for him to be a starter. hilliard and walker were proven starters. we knew before the season marceaux and henry were going to be starter quality. we knew hill was potentially starter quality. storz, labas and gilbert can all be starters when healthy. i just think pm was willing to continue the experiment given that peterson has come on strong as a closer. hess really has become a solution in search of a problem

he is definitely struggling and has had only 2 or 3 quality outings this year. I know he suffered a groin pull early in the season and again a couple of weeks ago but I think his main issue is fast ball control and he only has two pitches.

we want him in the pen but keep adding to our injuries.

but thanks for piling on; the kid is a class act and is starting now because his team needs him. he wants to be in the pen.

I've always thought he was great as our closer, but just not very good as a Friday starter...just my two cents.

Good kid who speaks well in front of a microphone. Leslie’s great as a close his freshman year and has a personality to keep the cameras on him. Everyone mad their uncle knows he is not consistent enough to be even considered a legit weekend guy. CPM was convinced he was the next star until last week he said Hess was going to the pen the the trainer stops him in his interview to tell him Henry was sitting out a series. Hess always struggles in the first inning and may get you 1 out 4 good outings. Has potential but has not put it together. That’s his bio.

Here you are in the thread though. Also 50 walks is a lot.
