Do any coaches actually get fired this season?

Easy to say Mason or Muschamp aren't doing great but is that gonna be considered meaningful this year? Or is it gonna be ignored because of the weird schedule and corona and everyone given a pass till next year

If Derek Mason doesn't get fired, Vanderbilt just needs to shut football down. There has to be some vague notion of slightly trying.

Alabama and LSU. Only these two. The rest are good to go.

Thought Herman got fired on TV at half time yesterday based on cbs broadcast. Turns out it was a dipshit broadcaster teesip alum, who decided to go Miami.

Probably not during 2020: The year of Armageddon.
Too many variables to blame.

well you and I both know that LSU and Bama have higher defensive standards and are more likely to pull the trigger on a bad dc mid season, others will go at the end of the year

Herman might get fired. He is 1-4 against Oklahoma and he's 18-12 in a weak conference he has never won. At this point, they need to realize Herman is never going to win the Big12 or take the Horns to the playoff. I think Muschamp and Mason get a pass this year.

Isn't it a little soon to fire Pelini? He's been DC for 3 games. Shouldn't they give him a year at least

Golding, I don't know. Yesterday wasn't pretty

I have a hard time picturing O doing this

He and Pelini are buds with the same defensive philosophy. O was so confident in the hire he was able to convince the AD to make him the 2nd highest paid DC in CFB.

I don't see O giving up on him until after the season at the earliest.

No. They should wait until after the Arkansas game and then fire him.

No head coach is getting fired because of results this year. Not a single AD is going to bite the buyouts for an outgoing staff and then hire a new one.

Buddy of mine is a Texas alum with some strong ties in Austin. He thinks with the revenue down like it is from the pandemic, that even they don't have the money to afford Herman's buyout right now. Would need some major donor help.

Herman supposedly has around 20M buyout. They may let him stay this year and keep him on a short leash next year.

I've looked for Mason's contract extension terms but can't find it - it may come to an end this year.

But they are staring a winless season in the face and I can't see them getting any better any time soon - it's a far cry from where Franklin had them.

Mason will make a fine DC for someone next year.
