What is so upsetting when BAMA fans sing this tune?

It doesn't upset me, but I worked at a bar during college and that was the go-to song for drunk sorority girls. They played it over and over and over again until I have grown to hate it.

Because of the 1% chance that a child might hear the F word and actually retain it

It’s not upsetting. It’s just that it’s about Tennessee.

Rolling down a backwoods Tennessee bighway
One arm on the wheel
Holding my lover with the other
A sweet soft southern thrill
Worked hard all week
Got a little jingle
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Couldn't feel better
I'm together with my dixieland delight

The students have extra words that they chant in between the actual words of the song. Those extra words promote drunkenness, wild, uninhibited sex, and the fricking of Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee. Some apparently consider that offensive or classless. I don't know who those people are.

You don’t hear other SEC fans singing songs about other states.

I will be the first to admit that, of all the songs Alabama recorded, I don't know why they chose that one to play. Makes very little sense to me. But whatever. Beats the Million Dollar Band playing "Basket Case," which they still fricking play every fourth quarter. That has to be the worst "tradition" that we have.

While we're talking about Alabama traditions that were discontinued for supposedly being classless, I cannot for the life of me understand why they took Rammer Jammer out of the pregame. It seems a lot less classless to tell someone that you are going to beat the hell out of them before the game is played, than it is to taunt them for having done so after it is over. And those pregame Rammer Jammers were always loud as shite. The pregame that the band does now is so bland and boring that it is quite honestly embarrassing.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were a virgin. I guess maybe someone like you might be offended by the extra words, then.

I'd rather listen to Basket Case 20 times a game than Dixieland Delight once.

For a normal person those words aren't rapey, but when that many Bama frat boys are signing about holding girls up against walls, those words take on a whole nother rapey meaning...
