Disappearing Neutral Site Rivalry Games

By far the two biggest annual games played on neutral fields are:
Georgia vs. Florida in Jacksonville
Oklahoma vs. Texas in Dallas
Arkansas vs. Texas A&M in Arlington is a more recent one.... I think they have a 10-year deal there?
But these types of games used to be far more frequent.
Alabama vs. Auburn in Birmingham (every game between 1904-1988)
Georgia vs. Auburn in Columbus (every game from 1930-1958, and all but one game from 1916-1958)
Ole Miss vs. Miss State in Jackson (every game from 1973-1990)
Ole Miss vs. Tennessee in Memphis (every game from 1935-1949)
LSU vs. Arkansas in Shreveport (every game from 1913-1936)
Auburn vs. Miss St. in Birmingham (every game from 1911-1948)
Ole Miss vs. Arkansas in Memphis (every game from 1937-1947)
Colorado vs. Colorado St. in Denver (every game since 2010 and all but three games between 1998 and now)
Missouri vs. Kansas in Kansas City (every game except one from 1891-1910; 1944-1945; and again from 2007-2011)
Missouri vs. Illinois in St. Louis (every game between 2002-2010)
N. Carolina vs. Virginia in Richmond (every game but 4 between 1892-1916... oddly enough, the 1892 game was played in Atlanta and the other 3 were in Norfolk)
Anybody know of any others?
I personally like playing games on a campus, but I do think some of these old rivalry sights are cool.

It should be home and home. In division neutral site games are dumb

That was one of Alabama's 2 home fields for a good chunk of that time, if not all of it

I think Colorado and Colorado State have played in Mile High Stadium. I don't know if they still play that game there or not.
The Army/Navy game has usually been played at a neutral site. I don't think they've played the game on campus in decades.
Usually it is a home and home series but in the past Army refused to play Air Force at Air Force because of the altitude and would drag them out to neutral sites like Soldier Field for games.
Arkansas and Ole Miss played in Memphis for a few years straight if I remember correctly.

It was renewed at the end of the 2013 season (frick you Eric Hyman) and runs through 2024.

Yes it was. Which is why Auburn rightly had a beef with having to play a "neutral" game every season in Alabama's home stadium.
But to my knowledge, it was a "neutral" game from 1904-1988... of course there was a break in the series from 1908-1947 with zero games played.
I believe Alabama played a home game against Auburn in Birmingham in 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, and 1998 before moving the game to Tuscaloosa after that.
I think I remember Auburn having to play a "home" game in Legion Field in 1991? Is that correct?

I grew up in Alabama and my brother and I used to go to Birmingham for the Iron Bowl at Legion Field. It was a glorious event, as well as a great rivalry. I know some folks that used to take a weeks vacation and go to Birmingham for the game every year.
Too bad some HC got all pissy and changed the game.

89' was the first Iron Bowl in JHS but Bama's contract with the city ran through the rest of the 90's so they played the Iron Bowl at Legion every other year when Bama was home team.

Yep, this game is in Philadelphia. Army comes down from New York and Navy heads North from Maryland.

Yep and Auburn just played a Bowl game in Legion Field in 2015. What a dump of a place to have to play a bowl game.

It's mostly played in Philly but it does hop around.
The longest consecutive stretch in Philadelphia was from 1945-1982.
However, it jumped around quite a bit before and after that stretch.
Princeton, NJ- 1905
New York, NY- 1913, 1915, 1916, 1919, 1923, 1925, 1927
Bronx, NY- 1930, 1931
Chicago, IL- 1926
Baltimore, MD- 1924, 2000, 2007, 2014., 2016
Pasadena, CA- 1983
East Rutherford, NJ- 1993, 1997, 2002
Landover, MD- 2011
Philly has held it most every other season, but that's not very consistent.

I think it rotates. Recently, it has been in Philadelphia for 3 years and then Baltimore for a year or something like that.
