Just a warning to those fellow DirecTV / AT&T customers
... we might be losing the ESPN channels as soon as this weekend, which would include the SEC network

I am none too pleased

SEC sent out a notice

Weird how it's always AT&T/DirecTV in these contractual pissing matches.

Glad I dropped them.

It seems to be much more frequent now that AT&T owns DirecTV

Overall I'm a pretty satisfied DirecTV customer, but I am not happy about this potential blackout

We lost the cbs affiliate in Bham for over a month, may still be off. Havent checked lately. These providers are greedy. You would think with more competition they would kinda deal with things

Locally in the Baton Rouge area we lost the Fox affiliate in the same negotiation tactic. It came back on air about 2 weeks ago

Same with YouTube TV; I can't talk on the phone or look at texts with anyone else watching the game. It's about 20-30 seconds.

I finally cut the cord with Dish Network after 21 years because of this kind of nonsense.
I had lost Fox Sports Regional Channels so i could not watch the Braves, HBO and CBS preventing the ability to watch the 3:30 SEC game of the week.

Went full streaming. Since there are no contracts and I use Apple TV if one streaming partner is in a fight with someone, cancel and move to another. Plus I am saving over 100/mo.

Moved to dish earlier this year and it’s a superior product. We moved a few months ago and directv said the dish would either be in the center of the front yard or center of the backyard. Overall I was a satisfied customers but that ain’t happening. Dish put it on the roof and has a better gameday experience with some of the features. Also no pissing matches as of late.

My parents live in rural MS and haven't had any of the network stations since May

You must have a different Dish than I do, When I left two weeks ago I still didnt have Fox Sports South East, or CBS.

HBO has been long gone.

Dropped Uverse last week. I couldnt watch the game last night because they dropped the NFL Network. I had to get a trial subscription to FuboTV to watch it but at least I get a free weekend of NFL RedZone.

AT&T owns both HBO and DirecTV, and they will not let HBO be on Dish.

I’m old school and still prefer a standard cable package so I’m not having to switch streams or sources and go through all that hassle just to check scores of different games. Say between an SEC network game and cbs or fox game

But all this threatening to pull channels has me warming up to the idea

Heres what pisses me off about the whole thing. AT&T blames ESPN. ESPN blames AT&T. Of course neither side will tell you who is asking for what and who is offering what so you have no clue who is really to blame
