Should someone tell garrison that AU is 36 spots behind florida?

Hogs should crack the top 20 after baseball.

Down year for A&M. Hopefully we can fire some coaches and get some fresh blood in there.
Surprised Auburn is so low with the year they are having.

How many points would CWS title give a school?

It makes zero sense how they get their numbers.

Overall this has been one of the weakest athletic years in a while, pretty crazy we’ll still end up in top 5. I believe the streak of top 10 finishes extends to 36 years.

100 for a championship.
90 for runner up.
85 for 2-2
80 for 1-2
72 for 0-2
69 for Super Regional loss
57 for Regional final loss
41 for 1-2 in Regional
25 for 0-2 in regional
The Director's Cup favors schools with the most sports (Stanford).
Basically - M/W basketball, baseball and volleyball count for everyone.
Then the highest 15 sports. Schools with 40 sports don't have to count their clunkers. Hell, Arkansas, MSU, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt dont even have 19 sports to get a full allotment of points, much less get to not have their clunkers count.

Will Arkansas finish higher than Tenn?

It makes sense, you just can't totally bomb in 4-5 sports and still be in the Top 10-15. And finishing in the Top 5 is a big multiplier compared to finishing, say, 18th.
Auburn had some total clunkers this year and really only had basketball, golf, gym and baseball (as far as I know) that finished in the Top 10-15 (and baseball isn't included yet).
Alabama is lower than usual because our 2 golf programs generally give us a couple of Top 5s and they both had dreadful (for them) seasons this year (outside the top 25).
If I remember correctly we won 4 national titles in 2012 (Football, Womens Golf, Softball, Gymnastics) and we finished like #25.

If Arkansas wins one game in Omaha, they are guaranteed to finish higher than Tennessee. If Arkansas goes 0-2, then Tennessee will finish slightly higher.

100 points for the natty, 90 for 2nd, 83 for 3rd, 78 for 5th, 73 for 7th.
Super regional finish is 9th for 64 points.
Regional finals is 17th for 50 points.
Regional Semi's is 33rd for 37.5 points.
Regional is 49th for 25 points.
I am assuming they will award points the same way they did in softball.

This is probably exact.
My post above was approximate.

so only the real sports minus football?
I do believe the soccer team made the NCAA Tourney also.......although I don't really follow soccer.

Ha I'm not arguing Auburn didn't have a good year, but the Director's Cup isn't trying to just measure big sports - it's specifically there to measure everything the departments compete in.
So if 1/3 of your programs have really good years, 1/3 have decent years and 1/3 are awful you probably won't crack the Top 20.

Who would have thought that the weak points for Arkansas would be men's basketball and men's track and field?

by actual on field accomplishments or by the polls? This is what I don't understand.
