If you are cheating to get a player by paying him to come to your school. This case was someone paying a player to influence the player to use him as an agent after college. Not really cheating but violates amateurism.

They both sat all of last year and Purifoy part of this year. That’s all done.

Playes were not being paid. The assistant coach was being paid to stear players who could be NBA players to a certain financial planner. The coach was the one taking money he shouldn't have.

You obviously aren’t familiar with what happened. The NCAA looked at it and doled out there punishments which is basically all you need to know. All punishments have been served.
