Did you know Donna Douglas who played Elly May on the Beverly Hillbillies was from Zachary, Louisiana? I think (if not mistaking) she moved back to Louisiana after retirement.
ETA: I just looked it up. She died in 2015 and did in fact move back to Zachary, Louisiana. Gotta love a hollywooder who went home to her roots.

Didn't know. Neat trivia on a classic TV show I used to watch a lot

Pretty sure that Buddy Ebsen attended Florida for a semester or so.

Granny Clampett coached USCe for a few years.
Lots of SEC tie-ins with the Beverly Hillbillies.

On one of those commercials where MLB players talk about their favorite shite Steven Matz said, "I'm a huge Alabama fan, Roll Tide."
How random
He's from New York.

They don't make shows like that anymore. I catch old Hogans Heroes on Antenna TV and Sanford and Son on TV-one. Todays bs they call comedy is a fraud. They put a laugh at anything stupid.

She went to school at Florida State then got her Masters at U of Miami. She was a Pi Phi. Pretty interesting and intelligent person.

Sanford and Son also comes on GetTV. I'm watching it as I write this.

Ellie May Granddaughter graduated from Mississippi State about 10 or 12 years ago. She kinda kept it secret when she was at State.

Donna Douglas' son was my teammate on a 9-12 year old baseball team. He lived with her parents while she worked in Hollywood. One summer when she was home on hiatus, she came to practice and hung out with us. She could throw better than anybody on the team. Great form and quite an arm! Also, the TV whistle was real.

Donna Douglas was proud to be from Louisiana and did a lot of things in the Baton Rouge area. Classy, kind and a lady. During her popularity she could rival any woman in Hollywood especially in the bod department

Possibly one of the best sitcoms ever made.

She did and her grandaughter went to and graduated from Mississippi State and roomed with a girl from my hometown.
