Our defense did not play very well against Auburn, but a lot of those points were given up by special teams and the offense.

I would only put 30 of the points on the defense. Not much the defense can do when Auburn runs a fumble back for a TD, or blocks a punt inside our 25, or Auburn returns an interception to our 7, or gets 99 yard kickoff return, or recovers a fumble that's called a TD.

Yeah but it's a pretty delusional thing to say when your team has also lost to Jacksonville State and Vanderbilt.
