I'm really old and missed most of last night's game. There was a bunch of celebrating Friday. What happened yesterday?

Nothing major yesterday, just a double header that had a run rule in the 7th and game two won by 9 runs. Pretty ho-hum.

Hogs did show, lsu is just in another class. Gotta give it to them. I don’t see them losing a weekend series this year

These are the kinds of statements that make you sound idiotic. The Hogs showed up and have a great team. How about you show some humility, and give credit to the other team. Maybe just maybe LSU is better this year. I know it sounds crazy right???

Congrats on the first series win against Arkansas since 2018.
Most gave props to LSU last night, but a semi troll thread like this deserves a response like above.
Arkansas can beat LSU, and one game is all that will matter in the post season. Good luck the rest of the way.

Let me say getting Arkansas week two was a gift for LSU.
Wegner is scary. Smith is scary. When y’all get some of the pitching depth back y’all are going to be another Omaha contender.

I'll say this.
We're Omaha caliber right now without our pitching depth.
LSU is just that much better right now.
Who would have thought our only win would be the game Skenes pitched?
Most Hog fans predicted 1-2 at best but damn that was impressive.

Only in an elimination game…congrats on Friday’s win, y’all were able to take advantage of LSU making uncharacteristic errors which is what good teams are supposed to do…

And as 95% of Arkansas posters posted last night, congrats on the series win. There were a couple great threads speaking highly of each squad, but now we have this thread.
And yes, in Omaha unless you’re playing in the final series, there may only be one game against the same opposition. Elimination game or not.
I’d like to think once Arkansas gets Tygart back from injury, it will move Smith back to starting Fridays and Hollan starting on Saturdays. That’s really the biggest issue with us right now. Both Smith and Hollan are high caliber LHP starters. Because of our injury situation, DVH has Smith in the BP. The setup of the DH yesterday couple with the extra inning game in game 1 did not help. So getting game 1 made the weekend a success in my book for Arkansas.

In Omaha, you may only face a team once if it isn’t in the final series. Make sense?
I’d imagine both Arkansas and LSU are headed to top 8 national seeds, so meeting each other prior to Omaha is unlikely. Unless they’re on opposing sides of bracket and meet for title. Understand? Those are then one game scenarios unless someone comes out of losers bracket.

OP said it wasn’t aimed at Hog fans, it was aimed at other fanbases who were relishing Friday night a little too much.

Y'all have an awesome team in fact you're in another tier than us.
I assume you watched the game and maybe understand our pitching situation.
Our bullpen didn't show up.
