Last 20 games(2nd half of season, LSU is allowing 6.8 runs per game. (not counting the 11+ today).
LSU has 10 losses all year, 7 of those losses have came since April 1st.
Lost 7 SEC games all year so far. 5 of those 7 losses have came Since April 1st.
In the 7 losses LSU has in SEC play, they have walked 47 batters.
Now that the season is down to 2 SEC series left, it appears that LSU pitching staff is getting tired outside of Paul Skenes.
Even in non conference games LSU has lost, the pitching staff has had some issues.
Iowa- gave up 13 runs, walked 1 batters.
Nichols- gave up 5 runs, walked 4 batters
UL- Lafayette- gave up 5 runs, walked 6 batters.
Could it be that LSU has the same outcome as UT last year. Ranked #1 all season and dominating most of it. But towards the end of the season both teams started struggling and then we know what happened to UT. Will LSU suffer the same outcome?
LSU fans will say they are worried about its pitching after Skenes.

LSU has had tremendous pitching injuries that are mounting up, the same could not be said for UT last year. Our bullpen is getting really thin and it's now catching up to us. It's been a really shitty year for pitching injuries and I just hope we can sustain it.
Our hitting has pulled us through, but its baseball, you will and cannot win everything. I don't mind a few losses prior to the tourny because getting hot at the right time will definitely swing. These few losses mean nothing if we can get super regional host. We will be just fine.

You are referring to 6 weeks of baseball, and 7 of those came within that time. I think I’d take that over anyone else's record…

We’re 8-2 in the last 10. I’ll take that any day. Pitching injuries have killed us, but I wouldn’t say peaking early has anything to do with it.

Serraneaux you know more about LSU baseball than I do. LSU must haunt you in your sleep

wouldnt say peaked....its just injuries, especially pitching injuries are starting to take its toll. we have lost i think 5 pitchers for the year. can only take so much of that.

Does this mean Tennessee never peaked?

Big difference in LSU this year vs Tennessee last year is tennessee was still mowing teams down at this point in the year. The only weekend they didn’t was the super regional. LSU just had a down weekend this week. Nothing about LSU has “peaked” because the pitching staff has struggled for a while and still has multiple guys that have the potential to be great weekend pitchers. LSU still has the potential to win it all but the pitching could let us down at any point

if we are going to slump im glad it's happening now

Wrong! Tennessee last 3 series they went 6-3 and lost a series to Kentucky at the end of the year. The team lost 4 games all year till this point in the year and all of sudden lost 3 games last 3 weeks. All I was pointing out is that LSU pitching depth is starting to come back and haunt them. You can walk the batters LSU has every game and still expect to beat quality teams consistently. We all know Paul Skenes is gonna do great. But what happens as soon as he goes out of the game and the next couple games?

You may want to reference an informational thread I made that explored the soft schedule that LSU utilized to aquire their number 1 ranking. When the going got tough, the Tigers started sucking.

LSU came in as #1 and did nothing to lose that ranking until this weekend.
That strength of schedule you mention is harder than the woo pigs schedule per the site you reference.

It's barely the 2nd week of May. If you are peaking now you are still way too early. Just gotta grind out as many wins as you can and continue working on everything and hope to pull it all together next month.
