Someone sent me some cryptic message about it. Any truth, Lsu fan?

Sounds like it's a real possibility. He's struggled with weed issues since he's been at LSU. This may be the final straw.

Apparently he got out of line, and is going to have to transfer. LSU can ill afford yet another controversy

Probably. Dude can’t stop smoking weed long enough to pass a test. Been suspended for it every year he’s been on campus.

His play on the field has never lived up to his measurables though so

Sometimes a team vote doesn't work out in the player's favor.

quick check over on the rant

LSU has long needed to adjust their compliance rules to align with our competitors.

Maybe has a case against UF, but LSU is in the middle or lower side on failed drug test rules. They also have the same policy as bama. 1-none, 2-15%, 3-1yr, 4-gone

That's not LSU's policy. LSU has the strictest policy for weed in the SEC.

ETA: the policy itself may not be the strictest. However, we test our guys an absurd amount. Multiple times we've administered surprise tests on friday before a game. There is no reason to do that other than to catch players.

We're doing this for a drug that is decriminalized in our state btw.

Oh well
He was okay, our backup was about the same as him last year.

You'd expect more out of someone who's 6'7 and 330.

yes it is...

quote:

LSU has the strictest policy for weed in the SEC.

quote:

Put into place in June was a “first-term enrollee” rule in which new student-athletes — freshmen, junior-college transfers and transfers from other institutions — don't immediately go into the drug-testing program for a positive test result from their initial medical screening.

Also, student-athletes who test positive at any time at LSU can now have it expunged from their record if they remain clean for four months. The old rule required an athlete to be clean for six months to have a strike removed.

quote:

Under the first-term enrollee rule, Segar said student-athletes testing positive will be referred to an educational/treatment program and will not be assessed a positive under the drug testing policy if they complete treatment and remain clean of illicit substances for eight weeks.

quote:

Subsequent positive tests, however, will be considered countable violations, according to the school’s student-athlete substance-abuse policy.
Student-athletes who test positive for street drugs and other banned substances twice are sidelined for 10 percent of their sport’s schedule (for football, that would be one game), and a third offense results in a 50-percent suspension.

It's not like he is getting much in the way of coaching.

I mean it's just not. I'm looking at the policy right now.

You can laugh all you want, but it's common knowledge among the LSU fan base and reporters that LSU has a terribly outdated testing policy and method.

You're looking at one specific policy that gives details from an article that is from 2018.

The policy has changed.
