Or am I just forgetting that jumping up 14 spot happens often?

Mississippi state went from unranked to #1 over a 3 to 4 week period in 2014.

Too high in my opinion! But what does my opinion mean? I think it's a setup for a high ranking game between the AU and LSU

I saw a post on reddit that said several teams, during the history of the poll went from unranked to top 10.

Don't have a source for this but maybe someone can find it.

For comparison purposes, when was the last time a team ranked like say 23-25 or unranked beat up a top 10 team and how far did they move up week 1?

Genuinely curious, cant remember the last time that happened

Didn’t know we played Kansas.

Dude don’t be dramatic. Overrated? Yeah maybe. One of the worst in P5? Get the hell outta here.

2016 Texas, after beating Notre Dame went from unranked in a few polls to being around #10.

No LSU looked like a Top 10 last weekend. Some of you guys have worked yourselves into all types of conspiracies on Tiger Rant. Truth is LSU has been average over the last handful of years. No one hates LSU as you guys claim. Poor decisions by administration has kept LSU down. LSU beats Auburn they will move into Top 5 but yeah people hate LSU.

Didn't LSU and Miami basically just switch places?

14 is a big jump but it's consistent with some other big jumps we've seen in week 1.

Week 1 often has the biggest jumps and falls as voters are more likely to make major moves since their preseason ballot is based on air.

Typical overreaction

It went from LSU sucks so bad to LSU is one of the best teams in the country because they beat an overrated Miami team. Truth is probably somewhere in between.
