You learn this in your coaching job, too?

I don’t think Jimbo will be 100% removed from the offensive game plan. I’m about 95% sure he will not call plays.

He hasn't said anything to indicate that he is even considering that idea.

He actually has on his weekly radio show. I figured you listened to that given how closely you follow the program.

I heard him say he'd consider it if he felt it made them better.

But that's all. His comments after the LSU game made it seem like he was convinced execution was the problem all along.

Sidewalk go back to the website and look at the 2022 roster for coaches. That's your answer.

Not the quote I was referring to. That was during a press conference. I was referring to the much more casual radio show he does weekly.

I’d have to find the quote, but he essentially said with the way thing are going with the transfer portal and NIL, etc, a head coach has his hands full. He said he thinks most coaches will take a more CEO role, and he could see himself doing the same thing.

There have also been a lot of others 100x closer to the program than anyone else on here that have said it’s a done deal that he will give up playcalling. His future as the head coach depend on it and it’s non negotiable.

He didn’t say he was for sure doing that, but it was much more promising than anything else he’s said on the matter. He’s not going to come out and say “ our offense sucks, I’m giving up playcalling and hiring an OC”. It will all come out little by little.

Fwiw I am still in “I’ll believe it when I see it” mode. I’m just repeating what I am hearing.

Despite what is said, you will know if he has on reading glasses and a handful of papers.

I can understand your concern considering the beat down you witnessed with him on staff.

A&M has more talent and it was clearly your Super Bowl.

Kelly is still rebuilding.

I'm glad you guys trust in Jimbo again.

His “job” must pay him to be a passive aggressive count.

Well here comes the talent excuse. So we were the more talented team, yet the worst the Aggies have had in 20 years. Which is it? The week before you were acting as if it was the latter.

Where did your portal transfers go? You all sure made a big fuss about them. That was a lot of experienced talent you got.

Nine freshman started for A&M. Let that sink in if it hasn’t yet. Your team was much more experienced. Corndog got their arse handed to them by the worst Aggie team in 20 years. No way around that.

You all were playing to make it into the playoffs. How is that for a lack of motivation?

BK got his arse handed to him by one of the worst Aggie teams I’ve ever seen.

Again, you and others talked smack, put down our program, and ended up looking foolish in the end.

Y'all paid Jimbo $100 million and gave him 5 years to build that?

I remember when LSU fired Ed Orgeron for going 6-6 and beating Aggie.

This is the good news I wanted to hear. It seems logical that the Big Money Boosters are telling him that he HAS to hand over the reigns to the offense. So I’m hopeful that your sauces are correct.

Meh, they have zero leverage to force anything.

His job was never in danger this season so he has another year at minimum to do whatever he wants.

You’ve proven to have a highly logical and unbiased opinion regarding A&M football, so l will just take your word for it…

Aggies hate what I say but they can't actually point out anything I've said that isn't true.

They also can't point out this mythical "leverage" that the supposed "Big Money Aggies" have.

The proof is in the pudding… as they say.

So far, we know is that OC Dickey is leaving.
We already knew that Dickey was OC in name only and that Jimbo called the plays.
So this clears the way for someone else to come in and fill that role.

You said Coley was promoted to OC - and we are saying we expect a new hire to take Dickey’s place, and actually call the plays. So we’ll find out soon enough.

We don’t have to point out specific leverage, we just have to see what actually happens.
If an OC is hired, then you can point to how you were wrong. And if no one else is hired, then you can say you were right.
