"It really wasn't a trench game," he said. "I don't really think they could play in the SEC week in and week out with the style of play they play with."
He referred to their reliance on speed without the power, and alluded to how that speed breaks down after getting banged around for four quarters, week in and week out.
These non-power five teams that get the hype are all built around speed and scheme, and have the ability to give a more physical team fits for one game. Boise State, TCU, and now UCF all fit this mold.
Throw these kids into physical matchups all season long, the house of cards crumbles. All the crying in the world by UCF's Danny White about expanding the playoffs will never convince me that a team dominating cupcakes all year long deserves any consideration for the playoffs, whether that playoff includes 4 teams or 8. UCF has to schedule Power 5 conference teams for its OOC matchups. Has to. They were dominated on that field tonight.

They would have a decent year every 3-4 years. So basically Auburn.

Absolutely not.
That said, as absurd as Danny White's hype train is, his constant bitching and trolling is keeping UCF in the lime light. Declaring themselves "National Champions" last year was marketing gold, and pays dividends on the recruiting and fundraising trails.
That's one helluva hypeman...

He has a greater understanding of the game than alot of players in the NFL.
He is right, they wore out on the line over time, even when we suited up cheerleaders to play D. White is a man among children. I would love it if he came back but I understand of he needs to step up to the next level. He will always be a very special Tiger to me

Wouldn't them getting to play in a conference like the SEC week in and week out actually harden them and make them more physical? I think their main problem is they just don't have the recruiting resources to get the talent they would need to compete.

Georgia lost at LSU and LSU actually had their starting defense on the field. They beat UCF playing guys from the scout team on defense. frick UCF

You have to recruit physicality, but you are right, IF you are iron, it will sharpen on iron.
