This is huge as he was being projected in the 1st round by most analysts, and had he left we would have been replacing our top 3 interior DL

Exciting news...I hope it works out for him. He was a 1st day pick and a likely late 1st rounder. It's hard to walk away from that money.

That being said something about his personality made me wonder if he might come back. I am hopeful it proves to be a great decision for him like the RB's for uga last year.

He's a great leader. His nickname on the team is 'Baby Barack' because he apparently has a presidential demeanor about him

It all comes with the territory for Brown, who beyond being a highly-touted defensive lineman for Auburn is also the vice president of the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Council and serves as the team's representative on the SEC's Football Leadership Council.

quote:

"He's high-performance academically and then his character -- this guy's a business major; he's taking trig and calculus and all this stuff I couldn't imagine trying to figure out - so he does have a very bright future," defensive line coach Rodney Garner said. "When he finishes football, if he ever went into politics, I could see him being the governor. He just has the ability to make everybody around him feel valued."

This is the kind of move that could make Auburn into a contender next year if the 5 star QB Nix comes in and plays well. Really shores up our interior D-line.

Malzahn is lucky as hell that this fell in his lap.

Really dumb move on his part. If you are 1st round, you jump.

Saban tells all his players that are 1st round picks to jump.

Hope Gus, didn't just ruin this kids career in a vain hope Gus can save his job. Maybe he won't get injured and lose millions.

You think Nix will do well in Malzahn’s offense?

That was a worry for me for sure before this.

We'll be good at DE either way, but if Marlon Davidson also comes back (which I would put at 50/50), then hole.e.shite
