Can’t wait to see it play out and confirm who got the better guy. Obviously I’m only referencing LSU/UF. Nothing in the PAC 12 is relevant.

UF fired and hired their coach in about a week. I don’t know if Riley and Kelly were interested, but it was pretty obvious that UF knew who they wanted and got him.

Kelly was the only choice from the jump. Woodward is too smart to go after a grown adolescent like Riley. Being from Baton Rouge he knew Riley had no chest. And he is also too smart to hire an unproven commodity like Napier.

However y’all settled for UlaLa’s coach lmao. Thanks for passing on Riley and Kelly for Napier. Florida continues to Florida! Zook,shark humper ,Mullens, and now Napier. Thank you for continuing to make sound choices

It's difficult for anyone to believe that, all things being equal (like compensation), that UF would prefer Napier over either of Riley or Kelly. It's much more likely UF wasn't willing to pay what USC and LSU were offering for Riley and Kelly.

that's not what that tweet says
"Willing to dance" doesn't mean "wanted Florida job." That means they're both willing to listen to offers from other schools, which is pretty evident seeing as both did accept offers from other schools

Florida was paying Mullen $8M a year and Grantham $2M a year. I don't think money was the issue

Florida is a great job and anyone would be a fool to not express interest.
I’d say your AD is a fool for hiring a sun belt coach who has never won the sun belt into such a desirable position but that’s just me

It’s pretty obvious that they were both trying to drum up as much money from as many different big time programs as possible. To say these guys wanted UF, but UF just “chose” Napier, is a huge stretch and almost laughable.

Sounds more like they were willing to talk to Florida, not necessarily that they liked it better than USC or LSU. Of course coaches will talk to all big programs like USC, LSU, and Florida. Nothing earth shattering here.
