His first job at UGA. Then at Valdosta State. Then at FSU. Then one year with Saban at LSU. Then another year at UGA. Them to the Dolphins with Saban, then to Bama with Saban.

I would certainly consider him part of the Saban coaching tree.

And I absolutely do appreciate everything Saban did to help Kirby become what he is today- the undisputed best college football coach in the country.

I guess in no other industry do you learn a skill and then go somewhere else and apply that skill.

Bama… oh nevermind, I hear they’re automating a lot of shite at McDonald’s.

Sad.

losing monken will hurt uga but i'm not convinced Rees is the answer for Bama's offense either

but with new clock rules, I look for Saban to go back to ball control and lean more on defense like the old days

these spread teams aren't gonna be able to wear teams down anymore

It’s starting to look like Smart was more responsible for Bamas success than Saban. They really haven’t been as good since he left for Georgia.

Who would read them to you?

Said the person who stalks the internet writing on internet message boards about LSU.

Really, CB. You make it too easy.

Five NCG appearances and two wins since Kirby left, including beating Kirby in the NCG in one of the most iconic in-game coaching decisions and walk-off plays in college football history. Bama has been fine without Kirby.

Since 2017 Bama has an asterisk. You aren’t in UGA’s league. To be fair, nobody is. UGA and Kirby are King; until they aren’t, end of story.

Duh. That’s the same every year. Whoever wins it is king…until they aren’t. Bama’s been king, then lost the crown then got it back multiple times. You think Georgia’s gonna win a NC every year from now on? You as an LSU fan should know better than anybody how easy it is to fall from the throne. From “greatest team of all time” to firing your coach in two years! LOL

You know Bama's scared of Georgia when they start trying to coattail off our national titles.

Keep telling yourself that. Kirby was the genius behind Saban. That 2017 NC win came on a controversial one in a million play after Bama was pushed around most of the game. Btw. This was Kirby’s second year at UGA. A NC appearance in his second year. Didn’t take him long to show what he was capable of doing.
The 2020 Bama NC win was the Covid year. Fewer games played made for an easier road to the NC. Saban is past his prime and the loss of Kirby is really showing. Last season was not good and they should have lost even more games
than they did. Team didn’t look motivated or confident and GrandPaw Saban looked grumpy and frustrated. Bama fans are nervous and fearful now. They know things aren’t the same at Bama. And it’s not gonna get much better. They will probably still win the West but that’s it. I doubt they will even be in the conversation for the playoffs
