Stingley # 1
Ricks # 2

Saw a stat yesterday that only two cornerbacks in P5 conferences have played >50 snaps and given up 0 yards in coverage, Eli Ricks being one of those two. This kid really is a special player in his own right. It's been undersold how consistent he has been this year and last.

I can't remember the tweet, but PFF or someone posted that Ricks and Ringo from UGA were 1 & 2 in something. We have some great DBs in the SEC currently.

Too bad it still led to giving up 470 yards to UCLA

Orgeron said something about playing zone this week. Can you confirm?

We will always have stats even if we lose a few games always loaded with too much talent top to bottom and too many players drafted proving my point. We also have stats and hold records. THE GREATEST TEAM EVER will never be forgotten

Pass Defense Rating vs FBS
2020 - #114 out of 127
2021 - #103 out of 130

Won’t happen with the lock down corners we have that would take away their skills. Defense has looked much improved I’m not worried about our D. These new coaches will come together very soon

You should definitely play man to man against State again. Would be very smart.

I am guessing since you brought it up that the other was Stingley? I mean you have him listed as the #1 CB, right?

And for clarification...aren't safeties part of the defensive backfield? How are those doing at DBU?

Mike Leach approves that strategy. He may even be counting on it.

Impossible. OP clearly says Stingley is #1.

Ftr, I don't think we are claiming Ringo is the #1 or #2 CB in the country. He is still raw and learning. He's doing well for a freshman, though.

Wow.

LSU is lucky to have these two gentlemen on their squad. Their contributions have definitely led to the team's undefeated record.

Right?

Seems like they would’ve given up less than 38 against UCLA with that talent.
