The Heisman Trophy race next season will be wide open, and analyst David Pollack has revealed one overlooked quarterback that could find himself in New York with a chance to hoist college football's top honor.
Each of the four finalists from 2024 are off to the NFL draft, including Colorado star Travis Hunter, who became the first two-way player to win the award since Charles Woodson in 1997.
[quote]That means an entirely new lineup will contend for the Heisman Trophy next season, opening the door for previously unheralded players to leave their mark.

"I saw enough from Klubnik to say he is going to be in the Heisman Trophy discussion next year," he said on "David Pollack College Football."
Klubnik, a former five-star, was one of the highest-rated recruits in the 2022 class, ranked as the No. 1 quarterback and No. 6 recruit overall (247Sports composite).
The Austin, Texas, native took over as the full-time starter in 2023 and inconsistencies plagued Klubnik in his first season at the helm of the Clemson offense.
While he passed for 2,844 yards with 23 total touchdowns, Klubnik threw nine interceptions and fumbled seven times. And Clemson lost four games, the most under head coach Dabo Swinney since 2011.
A more poised and explosive Klubnik returned as a junior in 2024, and his numbers reflected the notable improvements from the previous season. Klubnik posted career-highs in passing yards (3,639) and total touchdowns (43) while limiting turnovers to six interceptions and five fumbles.
Klubnik helped Clemson to return to the top of the ACC with a conference championship and College Football Playoff appearance during a 10-4 season. And the pieces that surround the rising star paint a bright picture for 2025.
The Tigers are set to return each of their top-three receivers in Antonio Williams, Bryant Wesco Jr. and TJ Moore. And Clemson should possess one of the top defenses under new coordinator Tom Allen with star defenders like defensive linemen TJ Parker and Peter Woods and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year linebacker Sammy Brown.
Klubnik and the Tigers will open the 2025 season at home against LSU on Aug. 30.
Is this going to hurt LSU's chance to get the win against Clemson?

What a dumb article. Klubnik is third in the Heisman odds on FanDuel and a preseason All-American, no one is overlooking him.

I just don't get it. We are only a year away from someone winning the most overhyped award on the planet, and we are already overlooking someone. We all could use a good azz kicking.

I’m shocked he made a post without directly mentioning Brian Kelly.
