Tennessee didn't pay the money for Danny White for him to hire Kevin Steele.

Don’t sleep on Steele. He is solid, methodical and has developed and demonstrated a good defensive mind. He had the temperament to be a good head coach.,

Much of the negativities thrown at him come from his time at LSU and the internet lynching by those fans. Well, he went to Auburn and his unit performed very well... LSU posters subsequently trashed several other coordinator list coaches who also moved on and up. All of them are now looking in their rear view mirror and laughing.

Steele might be a solid if unspectacular hire.

He also said "There was more than one national champion after the 2017 season."

If BVD doesn’t send in his resume, I’m going to be disappointed.

Tenn. is getting some kind of probation. How harsh it is is not known yet. It's going to be hard going out and getting a coach to come into that situation. Steele makes the most sense. Let him go through the probation years and then bring in a HC when probation is over.

The official NCAA record book agrees with him.

And so do I.

LOL. You dumbass. Perhaps you missed this part....

The criteria for being included in this historical list of poll selectors is that the poll be national in scope, either through distribution in newspaper, television, radio
and/or computer online. The list includes both former selectors, who were instrumental in the sport of college football, and selectors who were among the Bowl
Championship Series (BCS) selectors
.

You know what other team is listed among all those title teams?

Steele is going to be the Vols Matt Luke 2.0.....it will only be 3 to 4 years of outright suffering. Then at least 2 more decades of the same we have seen the previous 2 decades.

For context, I’m pretty sure somebody asked if Steele was a candidate.

He really couldn’t just say no.
