Has his time run it’s course at Clemson?

I'm a UGA fan thru and thru and no he is not. Dabo has won a couple of Nattys! I love Coach Richt and think he is an excellent man but Dabo is a better coach and his record has proven it

Show us Mark Richt’s hardware so we can compare.

Change Dabo to Brian Kelly and you got yourself a quality post.

One is a perpetual choke artist. The other is not. With that said I wish Richt nothing but the best. He is a great person and does not deserve to have to battle Parkinson’s.

He's better than Richt but it does feel like the magic is gone for him.

Richt would have owned the acc too

Seriously. I have no idea if Richt would have become all that (mainly because I think he rightly prioritized other things above football for himself and his players), but UGA fans, at least, should understand that he was having to beat opponents who were running roughshod over most of the NCAA rulebook at the time while the UGA administration was not only making him keep to the letter of the law with both recruiting numbers and as well NCAA rules about practice time and coaching hours, but also adding in other requirements on top of it regarding admissions as well as being relatively tight with funding. The guy was paying assistants out of his own pocket at one point.
Not to mention, he brought a fantastic hurry up offense when he first came, years before others starting doing it in the SEC, and the refs and SEC basically said no, you can't do it.
Y'all hailing Smart as the savior should know he refused to come until he made sure UGA administration wasn't going to hold him back.

Based on how Clemson looked last season and what they appear to be this season he seems to be the new Les Miles with Polynesian Jordan Jefferson under center.

No I don’t think so. Dabo knows how to get it done!

Turns out having generational talents like Watson and Lawrence can make a coach look pretty good. Still think he’s a good coach, just not as hyped up as some made him a few years back

Won as many as Dooley and Kirby combined.

I would say it’s more of the fact that Mark Richt is no longer at UGA and Kirby is recruiting all the players that Dabo was getting during the last few years of Richt’s tenure.
Now along with Kirby’s relentless recruiting. Dabo is replacing lots of longtime coaches and having to deal with Shane Beamer picking up USCe recruiting.

the offense started to fall apart when Jeff Scott left for Tampa. Venabels gone now too.
