Their rankings don’t precisely translate to seeding and hosting.

I know but it helps to categorize where teams stand relative to postseason opportunities
A&M and LSU still likely need to win a game or 2 in Hoover to feel confident about hosting and while 4 SEC teams appear deserving of National Seeds it doesn’t mean it will happen (nor does it mean Tech and Stanford will end up seeded as high as they are here)

LMAO off at D1 for still not having Tennessee ranked.

with a 14-16 conference record?

9-8 vs. their top 25.
So Indiana who Tennessee swept and Ole Miss who Tennessee beat 2 out of 3 should be ranked ahead of Tennessee?

Nope. Tennessee deserves to be in the top 25

at this point of the season using head to head to justify rankings is dumb.

Ok, let's just throw out the records. Good idea.

Of course, Mizzou dropped out but will likely still make it. Florida could even sneak in there with a win or two in Hoover. Tennessee should be in and Auburn May need to help itself but could still make it

How many games does LSU need to win to get up to #14 or #12?

Geez that auburn weekend was huge for us. I still don’t think we will be 16 though. I would expect us and a&m to take 13 and 14 regardless of order as long as both teams take care of the first round in hoover

Auburn and Tennessee are easily in with 14-16 conference records and strong rpi.
Mizzou is about as on the bubble as you can get. They need favorites to win tournaments.
Florida must get to at least the championship game and have no tournament upsets to get in. I think they are out.
