I think the kid has accepted the loss of playing time and has tried to move on. He went to Kirby to inform him of his decision to transfer, Kirby BLOCKED the transfer. So which individual has accepted their role in this matter and which has not?
Kirby did not block this guy. This is him and his lawyer speaking when only they are legally allowed to do so.

Let's see what you say when an LSU player transfers to Auburn or Bama.
Phelon Jones-LSU CB (2009) was granted his release by Coach Les Miles to transfer to ALABAMA. Phelon started 2 games but played extensively doing the season before. Phelon was granted his release to transfer to AUBURN first, but Auburn coaches told him they had no scholarships available, that's when he went back to Coach Miles to grant a release so he can play for BAMA.

Ed O has blocked some players transferring

That is safely old enough that the posts howling about it are no longer on the internet.

Had to sit out the 2009 system and pay his own way at Alabama for a semester.

Kirby de facto blocked it by not endorsing it. And did so after stating he would support it to Reese. Fits the toxic environment narrative about UGA that Fields and Mays used as means to gain immediate eligibility. 3 guys mentioning it, plus all the coaches leaving and not being replaced and all the other UGA guys leaving early should at least make fans question if it’s possible.

I guess he never saw the dateline special where the FBI and MBI were arresting kids for an 8th of weed and then turning them into confidential informants to go buy hard drugs like coke, meth, acid, and pcp. Oxford is a wonderful place tho. No discrimination or excessive use of power there.

He doesn’t have to endorse it for a player to gain eligibility.

So says Reese with exactly zero publicly-available proof. UGA is legally forbidden from telling their side of the story, which is why they asked Reese for a release to do so.

All three with obvious motivation to paint UGA in as bad of light as possible. All three represented by the same lawyer who has made it his job to get players immediate eligibility by public strong-arming.

I want you to explain this point in detail. What coaches weren’t replaced?

But that wasn't the basis for my answer. The poster clearly stated that how I would feel if LSU had a player that wanted to transfer to Bama or Auburn, I gave him an example of what LSU did AT THE TIME when a player asked for their release.
Now the rules were different then than they are TODAY. Rules then were you HAD TO SIT OUT. Rules today are a tad different, FACT remains that LSU wasn't an arse to the player and allowed him to transfer to his choice of schools. And just because you do shite for so long doesn't always mean it's the RIGHT thing to do.

You don’t think the rules at the time potentially impacted how helpful LSU and Miles were?

Nice CNN level spin there. you know this entire thread is about transferring and immediate eligibility. You got called by someone who took the time to look up the facts. Take the L and move on.

This player has experienced several instances of racism in Georgia. The solution is to transfer to Mississippi?
