The Baylor University basketball scandal was an incident in which the Baylor University men's basketball program was investigated and punished for numerous NCAA violations. The scandal broke out after the 2003 murder of men's basketball player Patrick Dennehy. His teammate, Carlton Dotson was convicted of the murder and sentenced to a 35-year prison term.

I responded to and quoted the following statement in my post

quote:

Can't really think of any criminals from UF

I responded with

I posted this because Cam Newton stole this laptop while attending UF. He was arrested for doing so, therefore he is a criminal that attended UF. I was refreshing the Gator fans' memory of a past Gator that is a criminal.

If you need further explanation let me know, I will dumb it down some more for you.

Of note for another school in the area.

Toney Converse - RB In prison for cocaine & drug distribution.

John Williams - Accepted money from several university students and threw games in a point-shaving scandal that caused the students to be expelled and arrested and the school's basketball program to receive a temporary 'death sentence.'

Josh Gimelstob - universuty student and tennis player from NJ/NY who ran over and killed a campus policemen while driving under the influence, hid the vehicle in a body shop to have it repaired to cover up the crime until he was caught.
His comment: "it was only a policeman."
Don't think he ever served a minute in prison due to his connections and father.

The school in question?
