People can no longer claim that LSU hasn’t played a defense either. Everyone said before the game that Florida was one of the best defenses in the country.

Mullen went full Mullen at the end. If he doesn’t pull Trask LSU likely still wins but it would have been closer.

This is the new normal for teams that can field modern, elite offenses. For the old school teams, they have to hope they field elite defenses and their offense can do enough to squeak by. They aren’t built to catch up if they get behind a spread/RPO type team.

UF pretty much kept up on offense because of Trask’s ability and determination, and Mullen’s creativity.

If emory doesn't luck out with a tipped TD pass, LSU goes up another 7.

The group I was watching with agreed that UF was trying to grind out a win and it nearly worked. Y'all never went for the kill shot, but easy methodical 4-6 yards sustaining long drives.

It was a great gameplan that we struggled to stop. All we kept saying was forcing y'all to punt once would have been the difference.

That was an extremely lucky play.

I know it’s been said before, but how was Trask not your starting QB this year, or maybe even last year.

Is this just a two game abberation?

I was at the game. I kept telling LSU fans around me that Trask is head and shoulders the best QB on Florida’s roster, and they couldn’t comprehend how a second string guy could be better than the first string guy. He flat out balled. Florida with one TD in the second half. LSU D was “bend, don’t break” throughout that half. Mullen’s mismanagement down towards the goal line is worth noting, but it’s also worth noting the LSU D stood tall down in the South EZ.

Here is the one I liked. I posted it like 4 times already.

from Espn

Here's the list of players who've completed 70% of their throws with three touchdowns and 300 total yards against Florida in the past decade: Burrow, Joe. That's it. That's the list.

We rotate on defense very wisely. Aranda is the Master.

Great game, kept LSI faithful nervous because our defense was on the field way too long! But the score really isn’t indicative of what it should have been. We can’t change the facts, but there were two plays that should have been made and one that could have been made that would have changed this outcome tremendously.

Those plays were dropped interceptions and one miss of an interception. Delpit has the interception in his hands and dropped it, that ended up leading to a Gator TD. Queen again had two hands on the ball and should have intercepted it but worse case he needed to realize to bat the ball away it was 4th down. And Cam Lewis would have had the ball tipped right to him if he wasn’t starting to dive at the defender. All three drives ended up in TD’s, if two of the three are picked off the ball game is a blowout

Don’t play the If game too much my friends. You guys won the game and deserved to.

We could say If UFs two best DEs weren’t out the game may have been different.
If if if.

You guys are correct that it could’ve been a blowout or UF could’ve won by 10 IF Trask doesn’t throw a pick in the red zone and IF IF IF. Like I said you guys deserved the win and I hope you play well the rest of the season, no injuries. I just don’t have an appreciation for the IF game.

When LSU had the ball, average time to score a touchdown was 3 minutes, 37 seconds. That includes 2 possessions that resulted in a punt and one that resulted in a missed FG.

I mean Goal line stand kept it from being 7 so that would have been a proper score to show how good the game actually was. But LSU did not make mistakes at the end and we did. Simple. They were the better team.

LSU's offense is certainly among the best in the country. But I wouldn't hang my hat on that statement of UF's defense being great. Have you looked at their schedule? Show me an offense they've played that is remotely good. Auburn's is probably the best and the jury is still out on that one.

So they would have gotten that one last TD when the game was basically over? I mean, I guess if that makes someone feel better, then, alright....
