Could you imagine if Coach O and Scott Cochran we’re on the same staff?

Scott Cochran's dream job is to return to his Alma Mater as the Head Strength Coach.

It will be a while, but I could see it happening down the road.

Gumps, does he still do that YEAH YEAH YEAH shite on repeat via the big screens at BDS?

when I went to Tuscaloosa a couple of years back, the first thing I got tired of was Scott Cochran on the big screen yelling:

"I CAN'T HEAR YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!"

Alabama games aren't loud at all - Gump fans are biting their nails in paranoia all game.

I used to wish we would stop putting him up there all the time but recently I've heard this same thing from multiple opposing fan bases and it's really changed my mind.

I totally get his value to Alabama so this isn't personal against him specifically. But personally, I freaking HATE strength coaches. I just hate the guy who wants to be that guy. I had a HS strength coach who later did it in Division 1 and he was a total meathead. He'd literally pull me out of class to lift weights and scream "We getting better" and all that stupid shite at me when I should have been taking a math class or studying for a biology class. I want that guy BEHIND the scenes not developing a meathead Cult of Personality at my University.

Why? Less pressure?

You just inventing stories to make yourself feel better?

If you think Scott Cochran would pass up the same job at LSU that he has at Gumpaloosa, that says all we need to know.

Poor thing.

I think he loves it in Tuscaloosa and I doubt he would leave to come back to LSU.

But I bet you think Dabo would never leave Clemson for Alabama.

Two completely different scenarios.

Follow in Saban's footsteps or stay put where you've built a dynasty of your own.

Sad attempt.

Because strength coaches are the same as head coaches.

Stereotypes are really showing their arse in this thread.

As long as Moffit leaves all of his workouts for Cochran to keep using, I'm sure Cochran would do a great job. The ones that Cochran is using now that he got from Moffit are probably starting to get old

Both Cochran and Moffitt are elite. I'm sure they do similar things and have their differences, as well.

When Saban hangs it up and Moffitt does the same, Cochran would take the LSU gig in a heartbeat.

Nothing for anyone to get bent out of shape about. It's simply, reality.

Do you remember Ray Perkins? That is all the evidence you need to know what will happen when Saban hangs it up.

That's a pretty big qualifier that wasn't included in your original post
