Meh, I'd give him a 50% chance of winning at Tennessee in Year 2.

Year 1 at UAT: 7-6
Year 2 at UAT: 12-2

Year 1 at Miami: 9-7
Year 2 at Miami: 6-10

Year 1 at LSU: 8-4
Year 2 at LSU: 10-3

Year 1 at MSU: 6-5-1
Year 2 at MSU: 6-6

I'm not sure Jesus could win at Tennessee in 2022.

Our problem is we have no coach and our boosters are idiots. However if you skip over them and give us an actual coach like Saban then yes of course he’s going to win. There’s nothing lacking at UT that a coach can’t overcome. The trouble is we will never get a coach with the boosters and various powers that be competing against one another to see who can crash us fastest.

I heard back in the eighties, when Florida was just starting to be good, that Bear Bryant had once said that he could take the players at Florida and win the SEC, but that he couldn't win at Florida. Maybe some of that logic holds true with Tennessee.

No. Saban relies on a huge talent advantage which would take him at least 3 years to build at UT.

The last time Saban took over a program on sanctions (Michigan State), it took him five years to build a winning program. No chance he would be able to rebuild Tennessee facing scholarship limitations and sanctions in two years.
