Could Driskel leaving FAU signal a Hurts transfer?

Drisket quit, not left. In the unlikely event Hurts transferred he would have to sit out a year. Doubt he wants to sit a year for Kiffen, when the could be celebrating multiple national championships at Bama.

There is pending consideration by the ncaa to make transfers immediately eligible. That aside, sitting for a year to have two more to play would beat sitting on the bench.

Hurts will compete for the job in the Spring. However, it's not what you think.

He is already discussing a move to other positions in order to help the team and afford himself a chance a next level.

Co-sign

until Bama has another QB on the roster that can play we need #2 at QB and getting better at what he does.

See FSU for what happens when your backup QB has to be The Man.

Probably triggered some non-Bama fans with that one.

This is what I like to hear. He's a great kid but not NFL QB. He is one of the best athletes in CFBthough. I want to see him as a slot receiver or something

You think the kid would rather sit on the bench and win possibly two more championships rather than sit out a year and have two to play and start?

That's just it he won't sit the bench He will likely never make it next level as QB why not switch to s position he can be successful at next level.

I hope this is true, but where could he play?

I don’t think he is explosive enough to be a RB, and he’s probably not aggressive enough to be a DB.

I think Hurts sticks it out at Bama this year and works toward an early graduation, so he has more options next year should he get beat out by Tua and Tua remains healthy. #runonsentencedontcare

Most likely WR if anything. If he can catch and get open he can make plays in the open field.

True but he might want to play QB in college. I'm not sure if he is physical enough to play safety but if he is I think he would make one hell of a safety. I know he runs hard enough as a QB and is not scared to take a hit.

TE, he's big enough and he's shifty enough to be hard to cover.

Deadly with the ball in his hands.

The OP is silly conjecture.

Even if he were to transfer, it wouldn't be to do this at FAU. Kiffin won't be there three more seasons. He'll get a better offer.

It wasn't conjecture. It was just a question for the off-season. SINCE Kiffin remains so opinionated about our qb situation and all

If he wants to play qb in college he's gonna have to Move down to a Sun belt type league if not a whole division and that may not be a given. Watching Jacksonville state, troy and south al, They all had qbs with better throwing ability. He really needs to find an option type offense. Ga southern is tailor made for him.
