I'm bored so here's another offseason thread! (Disregard whether or not the city could actually WIN the bid)
Well, for starters, most of the power schools already boast 80,000+ seat stadiums and multiple athletic facilities, not to mention the college dorms being instant villages for the athletes and most of the cities are set up to host a plethora of travelers in the fall.
GODDAM I'M BORED! need....football...ugh
*side note. I understand UGA hosted some events during the Atlanta games in 96. So there's that. (for the above question I don't mean helping out, I mean hosting the whole show and having the city name on the games).

Nashville would be the most likely.
If you count Houston as an SEC town I guess it could too.

Starkville would probably have a shot.

I think Nashville may be putting their name in the hat for one.

City that a school is actually located in? No, Nashville would be the only one that's close.
If you consider Atlanta, Houston, Dallas SEC cities then one has and 2 others could or have come close to hosting

As a representative for one of the two SEC states that have ever hosted the Olympics and a member of the mighty Mizzou nation...
I hereby declare that Columbia, Missouri will be bidding for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Only Nashville, possibly Knoxville. There aren't enough hotel rooms in any other cities

Starkville but give us a couple of years to add a few hotel rooms.

Yeah, if they were 5 degrees more north latitude.

Yes, and it actually happens every year. That little town in Georgia hosts the "Redneck Olympics."

Lexington has hosted the WEG which is the off year Olympics
Atlanta has already actually hosted the Summer Olympics so are you not old enough to remember this?
If it was the drinking olympics I am pretty sure most any SEC school could be a host site

The London games cost 14 billion. Nashville doesn't have that kind of money. You people are retarded.

possibly Knoxville
Lexington is bigger than Knoxville, and there is no way in hell that Lexington could host the Olympics.

Fayetteville if it was in the sec

I don't think anyone here is saying Nashville could. Just that's its the only SEC city that even be in the realm of possibility. It obviously would never win a bid
