A OM beat writer wrote a story about in season testing...says the plan is for 3 test a week for football at $100 a test... football players/ staff/ support is 150 each round...so $45k a week... expecting to do same for women's sports which is another 75 or so... going to be extremely expensive

No way it costs anywhere near that.

Significant volume discounts, and many major universities have health and science centers that can do it free or cheap.

The numbers came from the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Health and Sports...what ever that is

Sounds like a position like the Diversity chairs that will get the axe once these budget cuts hit from lack of revenue

He’s just taking the cost of a single test and extrapolating it across the whole athletic department.

Ignoring economies of scale and other advantages major universities enjoy.

You don't provide economies of scale when you know you have the buyer by the balls. They have to do this so there's no reason to provide any sort of discount.

Exactly what I was going to say. Sounds like a job that will be cut after sports are cancelled for a year.
