“I hate the Florida Gators anyhow, being a Florida State man,” Corso told AL.com’s Mark Heim in a recent interview. “I hate to put the Florida Gator head on. The Florida Gator head is long and funny looking. It scrapes my nose. Every time I put that thing on I get scraped and blood comes down my face.”

I used to dislike him, like when he picked against Bama in 1992, we gave him a hard time on their post game broadcast. He even mentioned it in the broadcast. Then over the years he grew on me. He is a national treasure who will not be with us very much longer, and I will appreciate him while he is still here. Who he picks and how often he is right or wrong is missing the point. He is and has always been about entertaining a nation with his antics. He is second to none at that.

Started as a RB, QB and DB. He had 14 career INTs on defense (which was a school record that Deion Sanders tied when he was at FSU). He led FSU in interceptions in 1954, Rushing in 1955 and Passing in 1956.
