Conventional wisdom does not make something right

Cases in point- Saban going for two was against conventional wisdom, but, it won the game.
Richt not clocking the ball was against conventional wisdom, it lost them the game, but, it was not necessarily "wrong." There just is not a "right" or "wrong" call sometimes.
On the other hand, having Cade Foster EVER attempt a long field goal is unequivocally wrong wrong wrong.

I agree and it should not have been necessary as the ball on the play before did not appear to be tipped.

I agree. Foster should stick with kick offs and bicep curls.
