Former UGA receiver, Matt Landers, will be going to Arkansas after leaving UGA in 2019 over Kirby's concerns about his great talent not transferring over to the playing field (read the article that explains this).
“Matt and I have had our differences on the practice field many of times and Matt has come a long way,” Smart said at the start of the 2019 season. “I think that Matt has finally figured out that ‘if I play special teams and I play well, then I have an opportunity to contribute on offense and maybe even get some balls’.
“You earn the right to do that by how you compete, what you do, and he’s come a long way. I’m really proud of Matt and how he’s grown up.”
He's very talented and was well liked, made a stop in Toledo, Ohio, and is now returning to the SEC, landing in Fayetteville.
Pittman's building a potential powerhouse up there in the Ozarks...

If Landers and Hazelwood commit themselves to their craft that’s 2 imposing guys on the field at once

why does someone have "great talent" simply because they're tall? Landers was simply not a good football player.

where he was entirely unremarkable. At Toledo.

he's doing a great job but I'm not sure how getting a not-good retread from the MAC indicates that

Landers nickname in Athens was Roberto Duran "Hands of Stone"

Landers has a pair of bricks for hands.

Landers is this guy in real life.

I hope he goes off with his speed and size but he was lazy in his time at UGA and dropped more passes than he caught.

Had hands like frying pans at UGA.

He’s one of the only D1 athletes I’ve ever seen where I legitimately think hand-eye coordination is an issue. He simply can’t track the ball in the air.

You'll see some good catches here and plenty of drops in this video.

Did Matt Landers swap out his two stone crab claws for hands?

I’m sure it was, seems like a reference a majority of people under 40 would get.

Definitely a couple drops. Mostly rag arm Jake Fromm throws.

did you not read what Kirby said?
get it going on special teams and then you might have a chance to get in on offense
100% Pittboss talked with Kirby and was on that same page

I see us using him in the mike woods roll. With our offense being so focused on pounding the rock in the run game, having a guy who can just run a go route and blow the top off the defense is a huge weapon. It makes the defense stay honest because as soon as you stack the box to stop our run now we take a shot

This was the play that was the final straw for me personally. If I didn't link it right it's with 0:45 left in the half.

Perfectly fine ball that's a touchdown with even just the slightest bit of effort. Yet there's landers just jogging along like it's a sunday afternoon stroll through the park. ANd he didn't react liek "oh shite I lost it in the lights I couldn't spot it". It was just oh well ho hum guess I couldn't catch up to that one. When you don't necessarily do anythign particualrly well, can't catch, and put in minimal effort, that's not a good resume fo ra WR.

looks like he runs a 4.6, 4.55 at best
I imagine the plan is he's going to bust his arse on special teams or Pittboss will run his arse off in week 3

Rag arm? Landers short arms or stops running on most of them

Then why was he still in on the next series? I imagine your coaching staff rips arse on what you're talking about, and then they have faith they got through to the kid
You're still pissed about something that happened 2 years ago and the UGA coaching staff on the other hand put him back in on the next series
