To be honest I wanted nothing more than for you guys to be left out today. But when examining the whole season (including eye test) I would put you in myself, because personal prejudice should not enter into the decision.
This is why we should have an 8 team playoff...gets all the conference champs and contenders in. It would eliminate much of the whining (though I suspect that is what many want) and controversy.
Anyway...congrats. Geaux represent. It should be fun to watch.

I don't completely disagree with this, ( I want 6 or 8 teams playoff myself), however I don't think it would eliminate the controversy. When it was 2 teams, we would argue over who number 2 is, now it is four and we argue over who number 4 is. So if we expand it to 6, then I see no reason why we wouldn't be debating 6, or 8 and so on.

LSU is responsible for recruiting it’s players not Alabama. People like winners and they earned their spot in the playoffs through committee math. That same math might work for LSU next year. LSU should focus on LSU and not Alabama. Things will go better for us that way.

I don't disagree, though I think it minimizes it. You certainly get everyone in who had a legit shot.

You know what else recruits see and matters the most? How many folks you send to the NFL, who your HC is, how well your team performs. If they commit based on a message board then something is wrong.

Athletes respect strength, power and confidence. When LSU fans come on a message board and grovel at the altar of Lord Saban, how do you think that looks?
These young recruits are all into social media these days and that includes sports message boards. If you were a good LSU fan you would be verbally undressing Alabama, not congratulating them on putting a stranglehold on the SEC.
