pretty meh and stone age thinking. I thought les miles was coaching - that old don't make a mistake, get it into the fourth and let our superior talent depth win a close one.

You defense was impressive, and perhaps the offense could be, but guys, no matter how good your team is , you're not going to run the gauntlet of the SEC championship and the 2 playoff games with that style of play.

you know you should've beaten alabama the last 2 meetings, but it was coaching and apparently Kirby hasn't learned.

you definitely have the talent to win it all. but I won't be betting on you with Kirby's coaching style. Stone Age.

Congrats on your fancy new BiG12 offense, look at all the Championships it has won for the BiG12.

What interesting is the different approach taken by LSU and UGA to beat bama.

UGA is going the Les Miles route and LSU has changed to more of a Urban Meyer route.

Have not seen anything from Kirby that makes me think he will have a chance against the Tide this year.
UGA has a veteran QB and will need to turn him loose to keep up with Tua this year.

It won a natty for an SEC team 2 years ago

Now who did they beat? Hmmmm

The fact Saban has gone to an attacking go for the throat offense tells you everything you need to know. Grind it out aint going to cut it anymore

We have been a lot closer to beating them than LSU has recently.

You guys are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.

Better worry about beating AU and UF firstn

Mad Props to the UGA players and their fans. Both groups showed up big time on Saturday; however, their coaching is questionable and, at times, painful. I know it's almost sacrilege to criticize Kirby Smart because...ya know...he coached for Nick Saban (I'm not sure if anybody knew that), but UGA deserves better. He almost always seems to make the wrong choice. He's aggressive when he should be conservative and timid when he should be aggressive. This UGA team with a top level coach would be scary.

It’s still early in the year and all that matters is the Win. But - Yes - it doesn’t appear as if we have the aggressive temperament throughout the entire coaching staff to push through this year.

There are way too many high fives being thrown around when we barely beat a Notre Dame team who accepted the fact they could not run the ball mid way through the first Quarter.

Pretty incredible that our QB competed damn near 80% of his throws, we had no offensive turnovers, and Notre Dame’s playcalling was subjected to crossing routes, TE check downs, and screens — and we had a very real chance of losing this game in the closing minutes.

We don’t look like we are one of the top 4 teams.

Look dudes I get it, your standing as perma #2 in the SEC has been challenged and so you're looking to create a BS narrative to use once the selection committee comes into play. But to say Kirby Smart is anything like Les "missing half my brain" Miles is asinine. Makes you look foolish and whiny. Let's play the season out and stop all the pandering.

No one is talking about this if Tyler Simmons doesn’t fumble a punt inside the 10.

This. It’s crazy how LSU is blind to the fact that it’s more than Bama keeping them from the playoffs. With O they’ve lost 3 regular season games a year and haven’t finished higher than third in the West, yet they act like they’ve been so close to bama. It’s fairly easy to see UGA has been more successful than LSU since Kirby and O have been at their schools.

Once Kirby has won a couple more conference championships and a National Championship it would be fair to compare them. Until then, I agree with you....not fair to compare.

I’ve been saying for two years that Kirby is a mediocre game day coach. His teams play way too conservative.

That said it’s offset by the fact that he’s built one of the most talented rosters ever.

Coaching staff did some good and bad things in this game.

Good: half time adjustments on both offense and defense led directly to building a solid lead in the early 4th quarter as our depth began to wear them out.

Bad: not trusting your team to end it in the mid 4th with that bullshite FG call.

People forget that Kirby is only been a HC at any level for 3 years. Many of the guys coaching under him are similarly inexperienced in their roles. He’s certainly not a guy with the wealth of knowledge like Saban or even Mullen or Mahlzahn. He’s still growing into the role and imo doing s pretty good job of it.

He’s certainly been more successful than Orgeron.
