Anything that tarnishes the stupid arse "golden dome" is fine by me.

Solid work by Woodward no matter if he was the first choice or not. Actually even better work if he was not the first choice. That is landing on your feet right there.

And nobody knows anything until all these coaches start winning or losing. Dabo was a shitty hire by Clemson until he wasn't.

And congrats on Florida getting the coach they wanted. I hope Napier does well. I am from Lafayette and he did great work here.

I was starting to wonder where our gator brethren were on the boards.

Looking forward to the new HC match in the swamp

Kirby Smart was just Saban's lackey and the next Muschamp

Tom Herman was a GENEYIOUS and the next Urban Meyer

The obsession with LSU hiring a three-time National Coach of the Year, the winningest coach in Notre Dame history with a winning percentage (.743) that is second only to Nick Saban among active FBS coaches, is astounding

The OP was gracious, so not sure why you’re responding this way.

Not really obsessed but hey it’s Friday so whatever floats your boat.

People can say it is a good or bad hire, but you can’t really argue that fact that it was a hell of a pull by Woodward to get the winningest coach in Notre Dame history while he is currently in the national title hunt with one week left in the season.

It was a solid football hire, and no one who knows football disagrees. If he can recruit to our standard, he'll win big.

I'm hoping LSU and Florida still play often after OU and Texas join. I was never a poster that bitched about it being a yearly matchup, it's a game I've looked forward to every year as an LSU fan. I'm sure Napier has an axe to grind against LSU for not even interviewing him so that could fan the flames of the rivalry even more.

This...to have their coach leave them for another school instead of going to the NFL or retiring is the best image tarnishing, ego busting thing that could have happened to them that they can never repair

Exactly.

Although I thought UF hiring Spurrier was as close as it gets to a "homerun" hire.

I hear this a lot. If Brian Kelly is as good at LSU as I think he will be, this won't matter much.

You think Nick Saban worried about Ed Orgeron having an ax to grind against him?

If Napier is the type of coach we've been told, he won't focus on LSU, but on fixing the fundamental problems Florida seems to have.
