This. And I agree that they should put these undefeated teams up higher, including Baylor that everyone is loving to shite on right now. I get that everyone assumes they will lose, but if they don't and end up going undefeated, they have to climb out of a huge undeserved hole just because people thought there was no way they were going to win out. It's dumb. Reward the season instead of just guessing at rankings.

It's not that we assume Baylor will lose. It's that even if they win out, they won't have anywhere near the resume of the other teams in playoff contention.

Undefeated UCF got left out for playing a weak schedule, and so should Baylor.

that really isn't true. first, Clemson's SOS is garbage. Second, the committee has never actually gone against Win/loss, 3rd, the big12 is NOT the AAC. and 4th, undefeated is and always has been a big deal, theres a much bigger gap between 13-0 to 12-1 than there is 12-1 to 11-2

Baylor's only shot ar a signature win is a one loss OU that hasn't looked great recently. Lost to Kstate a few weeks ago, and then struggled to beat a mediocre Iowa State.

Other that that what is Baylor's best win? A 3 loss Oklahoma State?

Not putting them ahead of Bama just says that the games played on the field this season don’t matter to the committee. The whole idea of a “ quality loss” is pretty dumb, any team can lose.

The idea of a "quality loss" is kind of strange. But without it, nobody would schedule any big OOC games.

This season is ripe for some real chaos if only Clemson and either LSU or OSU would lose before the end of the regular season. I don't think it's going to happen but that would cause a lot of debate and confusion if it did.

IMHO Current top 10 should be:

1. 9-0 LSU (no loss 4 quality wins)
2. 9-0 Ohio St (no loss 3 quality wins)
3. 10-0 Clemson (no losses ATM win , same as Bama)
4. 9-0 Minnesota (no loss and 1 quality win)
5. 8-1 Oregon ( quality loss neutral site, SOS ok)
6. 8-1 Penn State (1 quality loss away, 2 qual wins)
7. 8-1 UGA (2 qual wins)
8. 8-1 Baylor ( no loss but no quality wins)
9. 8-1 Bama (no quality win, better loss than anyone)
10. 8-1 OU (No quality win and 1 loss is ranked team)

I fully expect OU, Oregon, Utah and maybe Clemson to lose in the next two weeks because that's the type of shite that happens whenever everyone says Bama has no chance to get back in. Damn REC

Bama would be favored by 17+ points if they play Minnesota.

Change my mind.

Regardless of what people think might happen, rankings should reflect what has already happened. The rankings will work themselves out, why do people have to rush to be the first to make a claim? Bama loses and drops a spot. Penn State loses and drops several spots. What’s the difference? Penny State actually had a chance to win unlike Bama.

Them and OSU are clearly the best coached teams in the country. PJ Fleck will have his choice of jobs this off season. That extension he signed wont stop anyone from trying. I was wrong about him. He seems to be a great CEO type coach.
