What’s the average per recruit? Is that even possible with transfers?

Eta
And our worst is #38? This is why the SEC is the best conference

Does this also subtract what each team has lost in the portal?

It's possible. Here's the source: LINK

Very few transfers have the same rating they did in high school. The vast majority of transfer portal players lose stars.

A nice top 3. But one of those is not like the other two.

No, and I think that's a flaw in the ratings.

Kentucky and Missouri bringing up the rear on the Top Ten is not what I expected

Vandy's accumulating enough talent that they would be bowl eligible in basically any other conference.

Thanks.

Individual player ratings wise lsu is above 8 teams in front of them with Clemson and Miami being behind them that have higher recruit rankings.

Not terrible during a coaching transition. Hopefully the guys we have are impact players and set the foundation needed to rebuild LSU.

High school rating stars don’t mean as much for transfers, most of whom have shown they can either play or not play at the next level.

Couple of general notes about this:

Sorted rankings don't mean the results are linear. For example, there is almost a 40% increase in team composite scores from 1st (A&M) to 4th (Kentucky) on this list. In other words, these and the national rankings are actually tiers, with some large gaps in between.

Secondly, for lower-ranked teams like Florida and LSU that now have new coaches, recruiting is not necessarily over. After this initial early signing, the regular period still runs from February-April.
