FWIW, I don't actually think we beat UNC like this. I think we'll win, but it should be a good game. But this was just in a dream I had. I wanted to post it and bookmark it just to remember. And I figured it could bring up some interesting discussion. Just imagine if I am right though.

yeah i'm expecting a close one too, but not getting my hopes up for a win

despite the loss of Bernard and Cooper we'll still be very good on the offensive end, and the way our passing game works with lots of quick routes i don't think clowney will as disruptive as he is against other teams- also arent yall losing a bunch of other starters in D?

we'll be terrible on defense though, and i'm sure spurrier will find a way to light up our secondary

this'll be the first big time test for Fedora and co. so i'm interested to see what'll happen, i think we'll come out fired up but eventually lose by a score or two in a game that will be in the 30s/40s

no way yall will put up 30 plus on us, especially at home.

the game isn't going to be close. we win easy.

I think you'll be surprised at just how effective he will be no matter what y'all run. (as long as doesn't get injured or something, knock on wood)

A great DE in Devin Taylor, DT Byron Jeridue, our whole LB crew including Spur LB/DB hybrid DeVonte Holloman, and headhunter safety DJ Swearinger. Of course those losses hurt but like last year, we should have guys step and be ready to make a name for themselves. I mean, heck, last year we lost two 1st rounders in CB Stephon Gilmore and LB Melvin Ingram. Losing them hurt but I don't think we would have won more games with them this year. The depth is something that separates the good teams from the great teams-especially in tSEC and it should be obvious that we have good, talented depth with our back to back 11 win seasons.

which is why i think ya'll will eventually pull away and win by a score or two, we don't have that much depth, the bottom line is y'all have more good players than we do and unless our defensive coaches can outsheme Spurrier (not gonna happen), we won't be able to stop you need to score

Well I'm glad we are all on the same page.
I'm also glad that y'all are making your way back to Columbia to play us again. I love opening the season against a noteworthy opponent, especially an old conference foe and rival.

Just don't overlook them in your preparation for the trip to Athens. I have USCe winning the east this year. Hopefully they play Bama so Saban (and me) can finally have our revenge from that shitestorm of a game back in 2010.

We've opened with decent opponents like this before with Georgia looming. NC State (x2), ECU (neutral), @ Mississippi State, and Vandy. Plus this year Georgia will have to be worrying about Clemson and since this UNC game was moved to Thursday, we'll have a couple days extra to prepare.

Thursday games are worthwhile because the home team usually over performs while the visitor stuggles. (i.e. SC @ Vandy). Also, it gives us 10 days of practice before UGA. I especially like the first game on Thursday because it gets the opening gitters out of the way and lets the team relax on Saturday when the season really starts and everyone else is playing....

BUT MOST OF ALL, i love the opening Thurs game because it lets you go dove hunting on Saturday.

i love that its a thursday night game, we'll be the first game of the season, lots of national exposure, plus we still get to go to the beach or somewhere else for labor day weekend
