I've always had problems following professional sports because of the money. College athletics just seems to have a lot more passion and love for the game. NFL/NBA/MLB is just business. Still exciting, don't get me wrong. Just not so much for me. I can really only follow the NFL consistently.

Go Bucs!

Now it has been proven mlb does have as much if not more parity as the NFL and both have more than the NBA. However, MLB is a 9 billion dollar business, only behind the NFL so yes t is about the money. Yet in baseball, like other sports, certain things you can't buy with money that help teams win a championship.

Does the rest of the country's apathy with regards to CBB in any way diminish your appreciation of the sport? It certainly diminishes bragging rights. Hell, even with college football I find that the majority of Americans don't give a frick, which kind of keeps things in perspective.

Does the rest of the country's scorn for the state of Alabama and all its residents in any way diminish your pride in your state and the University of Alabama?

Same here. I know the NFL is about money, but it's also 16 regular season games and a month of playoffs building up to the Superbowl. The NFL season is perfect.

You need others' approval to tell you how important something is to yourself? What a sad existance.

Not at all, I love the sport as a whole. Much bigger fan of college than the MLB.

Of course not. Why would I care how much people in Alabama follow college baseball? I enjoy it. I get to see my alma mater field a team in my favorite sport. What's not to like?

Bragging rights? As a fan, I have no right to brag about any national championships, no matter the sport. I'm not on the field winning or losing anything. There are far more teams that have the potential to win a national championship in college baseball than there are in football, FWIW.

Of course they don't. It's laughable when people try to compare CFB to the NFL, CBB to the NBA or college baseball to the MLB. I don't understand why some can't seem to accept them for what they are.

With that being said, I get more upset when LSU loses than when the Saints lose. I'd rather see LSU win another CWS than the Braves win the world series. I like the Saints and Braves a lot but I didn't go to a university affiliated with them. They aren't part of me.

I have exactly zero fricks to give about how many people nationwide care about the sports and teams that I like.

No because all of my friends love college football, basketball and baseball. Why would anyone associate with sport fans who don't?

No, I actually appreciate it more.

Yeah, that would be the translation if I hadn't literally contradicted just that in my third sentence. Maybe if you didn't have the attention span of a fruit fly and could read approximately 50 words and comprehend them, you'd understand what I was saying.

Not from the south, nor do I live in the south. If I were or I did, then yeah, I'd probably have an inferiority complex. If you think the perception of the southern US is bad WITHIN the US, you'd really be mortified to find out how bad it is outside of the US.

Yeah man, I was butthurt as hell while we were winning back to back championships. So glad we didn't make the CWS this year.

FIFY. Baseball is not nearly as irrelevant as Bama fans desperately want it to be.

Less than 300,000 viewers on average for super regionals says otherwise.

Many regular season games, nearly all regional games, all super regional games, and all CWS games are shown on national TV. This is probably news to you, but that was not always the case.

Last year CWS attendance was over 326K, and has steadily increased nearly every year.

Schools are spending tens of millions on new baseball stadiums, including Bama.

I could go on but I'm sure all of this will mean nothing to you, because your thread is nothing more than a not-so-cleverly disguised "nobody gives a shite about college baseball" flame originating from your own insecurities.

This. I live in LA, why would I care at all whether people in MN or NY like college baseball.
I'm sure they don't care one bit that I don't like hockey.

Look, kid. We all get it. You're trolling but don't quite have the nuts to just come out and say that you don't care about baseball.

Cute.
