With Tua going at #5, Nick Saban becomes the first coach in the draft era to have a player taken in the first round at each position (offense and defense for you nitpickers, no specialists)

Pretty damn impressive.

Offense and defense. Fair point about the kicker, but considering only 3 kickers have ever been selected in the first round, I’d say Saban’s achievement holds up.

He's also had a punter taken in the 2nd round and a fullback in the 1st. Only positions he lacks 1st round picks are at punter and tight end (I think)

Tua is the first super star QB he has ever had. All of his quarterbacks have been game managers.
