Let's don't even pretend he's not. He is.

If Orgeron finished no worse than 10-2.

Gus. To go from losing to Tennessee to rocking Matt Luke. How many other SEC coaches could do that?

Saban deserves it.

If Fisher gets A&M to 10-2, with his only losses to Alabama and Clemson (I don’t think he will), then maybe him.

I’m not sure a 10-2 LSU team with losses to Alabama and Florida is enough for Ed to deserve it over an undefeated Saban.

It's either O or Stoops if things shake out like it's looking

Rest of season determines it.

Winner of East is in contention obviously. Stoops or Mullen especially would have defied expectations. If Ed beat Saban he likely gets it.

This is true. There is no chance in hell that it happens, but it’s true.

In terms of actual coaching performances right now, it's:

1. Stoops: What he's done with Kentucky has been amazing.

2. Fisher: Look at A&M now compared with A&M over the entire course of Sumlin's tenure now look at Arizona with Sumlin at the helm. HUGE difference.

Even if Fisher goes 10-2 (which is more likely than you think), if Stoops goes 11-1, it's his.
