Correct on both counts. However, O just led LSU to its first major bowl win since 2007. He just signed a top 5 recruiting class, and is poised to sign a #1 or #2 class in 2020. He just made a good hire in Joe Brady, and if that pays dividends on the field in 2019, I have confidence O will earn his keep in these parts.
It was an anticlimactic hire that hasn't gone south yet and actually seems poised to pan out.

Honestly O is lucky this happened so late. Looks like he has righted the ship for now. But no coach should be safe if they cannot compete.

I believe Liucci said, somebody said, that Fisher cant follow Woodward. Seems Aggie already knew that Woodward would bolt for LSU when the time came.

Coach O is a fine coach, he is winning, running a great program and there is no reason to think this will change.
I think anyone wanting O gone are actually hopeful that he would leave because they know deep inside that he is awesome and will once again have LSU winning championships!
