With Joe Brady leaving, coach o has to make a decision .

Does he keep ensminger, if e wants to stay, and hire a replacement wr /passing game coach without any authority to change the offense or play calling duties or anything significant, during games ?

Or does he let ensminger go, , bring in a new bona-fide and experienced oc and tell him to do his thing?

Obviously he will hire a oc to run the spread, but does he scrap everything and start over, or does he keep e and have him run the offense from this season but without the co o coordinator?

I’ve said it already Ensminger just worked with Brady all offseason and for a full season. I’m sure he can call plays just as effectively and run the offense.

I'd like to think so, I guess we'll see.

From everything I've read, Ensminger called the plays. He isn't going anywhere.

This is a good observation and one to think over.

Briles is a candidate but is LSU set up to run the Briles offense? Do you go with a G5 candidate who could do well under Coach E for a year as he learns the ropes for being a P5 OC? Do you poach someone from the Air Raid tree or trend down to conservative?

I have no doubts about Ensminger running this offense.

The whole offensive coaching staff has the play book and know how to run it. Just hire a young WR coach to help with it! Ya'll will be fine.

No, you let Ensminger stay and run the new offense.

Just to be clear to Lsu fans lurking or whatever.

We will never go back to anything like we used to run... Some form of the spreads here to stay., but we run such a great version of it. You take the passing concepts with the choice routes, full field progressions, the use of the tight end, the formations that attack the middle of the field, the tempo that doesn't allow substitutions, the NFL route concepts, and mix in the college rpo game, and you get what, in my opinion, is the very best Hodge podge version of the spread offense.

Let's keep it please, don't mess this up and run another version of spread cuz, such n such gets hired and wants to do his thing.
This offense should be a stipulation to interviewing for any job that allows imput

LSUs offense will drop off a little next year just because they lose so much and Burrow had an unbelievable year that you can’t expect any QB to replicate but it won’t be because of the OC. All Brady did was instal an offense that best suited Burrows talents but EVERY OC including Kiffin or Sarkisian is limited with the talent he has to work with. Alabama will not be dynamic like they were with Tua. Mac is a good qB but I expect a more pro style type offense from both just not that 2 TE run run pass offense that the NFL doesn’t use anymore either.

i agree with you 100%. this offense wasn’t going to be the same next year with or without brady. that’s not to say we won’t still have a good offense though

Hes going to keep ensminger and hire someone else as a passing game coordinator. Ensminger learned from Brady too now don't forget that. O will go find another talented youngster to come in with some innovative spread concepts that fit our program, talent and what we want to do here on offense. Just like he did with Brady. We will be fine bc o has done nothing but show he is a knockout evaluator of talent. LSU will be just fine. Geaux Tigers.

The fear of other fanbases is really showing though from their comments about Brady leaving lol. They're so excited and are hoping and praying that something, anything will slow down this LSU juggernaut that o has built the foundation for and will continue to build. We are about to experience an LSU run of titles and championships. You know it, they know it, we know it, o knows it, saban knows it, and there's nothing they can do about it. the giant is officially awoken once again and I feel like this is going to be the golden era in LSU fightin' tiger football baby!! O was created by God for this job at lsu! Theres nothing and nobody that's gonna stop it! We still comin' and we ain't backin down!!! Geaux Tigers!!!

Ensminger will be there until he doesn't want to be. There are 100+ young, bright assistants out there that are extremely familiar with the RPO. LSU can easily hire whichever one they want. Ensminger will train them to work with him, similar to how he did Joe Brady.

They will be a good tandem. Life will go on.
