I dunno about response thread - more like a "look where the logic of that thread leads when applied to a different situation" thread. The point being, Richt was great his first 3 years. Miles was great his first 3 years. Saying that Ed/Kirby compare to those 2 is a compliment, not a slight.

Besides his goofy clock management bullshite and refusal to change the offense, Miles kept the cupboard stocked and the program was in good shape at the time he left.

Forget the BCS, a two-loss team hasn't even made the playoff yet, that's how lucky Less was. That 2007 team could've easily finished like 9-4 too, just barely scraped by Bama, Florida and Auburn

Look, he did not adapt. And he paid for it. And he deserved to be let go.
But acting like the beginning of Miles (much like the beginning of Richt) was the same as the end is just silly. And that is why comparing early CEO/Kirby to early Miles/Richt as some sort of "LOL they suck" is so dumb.

He deserves more hate for all the millions he made and LSU produced more draft picks than Bama during his tenure yet we usually weren't even a close second to them. He was dead weight and an awful coach. Even a decent coach could've had much more success. We're just now getting out of the shadow of his legacy of offensive suck enough to be able to recruit elite QBs
