That is pretty surprising.

Especially if they confirm that young man's identity.

Most schools (I am assuming Clemson as well) make their policy on student conduct pretty clear.

This is it and it was from June 3. Not a single word since then. And the kid is still listed as a student on their own documents. Scheduled to graduate in '23.

Everyone in this thread, Gamecock and Tiger, is playing into the white-guilt bullshite being thrust upon us. Stop it. Both schools were founded by men who believed in racism and white supremacy. That has nothing to do with either institution today. If you don't like Ben Tillman Hall, don't go to Clemson. If you don't like Pinckney, Butler or Rutledge, don't go to USC. All the back and forth between everyone in this thread does is to try and shame us for who we are and where we come from.

Stop playing the victim.

This post/thread is about Clemson being racist.

So where’s the tweet? LINK

The shirt is from a national football organization. Roger Goodell has worn it during interviews. LINK

Former player of his just came out and said Dabo dropped the N bomb repeatedly. And apparently Dabo was in Oklahoma today and had a shirt on that said "FOOTBALL matters."

This man is on a suicide mission.

Is the far higher rate of Black on White Than White on Black rape on college campuses a sign of campus racism? Is the far higher rate of Black on White crime and violence a sign of campus racism?

With so many historically Black schools available to Blacks why in the world would any of them attend a historically White one if their campuses are so racist?

“ Although the college was de facto an all-white, all-male college when it opened, Clemson did not explicitly ban women or African-Americans from attending, unlike the founders of Vanderbilt, Tulane, Rice and other southern universities.[6]”

So I googled it

Same here. It wasn't hard to find a racist in the 19th century, but Benjamin Tillman sounds pretty egregious even for then.

I also learned about the Heritage Act. Clemson can't change the name on their own. Requires 2/3 vote of the state legislature. That's a lot of votes in these partisan times. Sounds to me like, regardless of the moral high ground back and forth, it would be incumbent upon USCe and Clemson folks to work together a bit to get it done. Good luck with that.

most of the founding fathers owned slaves.

most people who talk about Tillman Hall dont' care about the name, it's a negative recruiting thing.
