Clay Travis Clay Travis @ClayTravis I am told that UT AD John Currie made an offer to Jeff Brohm that Brohm accepted. Currie then asked the chancellor to approve the offer — buyout included — and chancellor said no. So Currie went back to Brohm with lesser offer and Brohm said no. So here we are.

Is this the same person who didn't sign the Schiano MOA?

What a shite show. Why wasn’t something like that pre-approved?

It’s like nobody at the University of Tennessee has any idea how to run a football program or has ever been around anyone who does.

It’s moved beyond funny to just sad and pathetic. My goodness, Tennessee.

Sounds like Currie doesn't have any authority to hire a coach.

Pretty soon Tennessee football coach is going to be a tickable box on the pre-approved credit card offers.

She sent me a message saying that unless they brought in something with Saban's signature on it they were canceling 2018 football season. "I mean damn, they are Tennessee!"

I wouldn't be surprised if they never had a deal and this is actually an attempt to smoke out the person leaking things to Travis.

Could be, but that implies competence on UT's part. No other evidence of that so far.
